To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

Sciatica vs pelvic joint inflammation. It is so common in practice for people to get these mixed up and the correction approach is different!

Sciatica is referral of pain because of sciatica nerve impingement or irritations and goes down the full leg into the foot. There a various reasons the nerve is impinged and this will dictate the chiropractic approach for correction.

Pelvic joint pain does not cross the knee but feels the same as sciatica in the buttock and upper thigh. The Chiropactic approach must be focused to the base of the spine (sacrum) and the pelvic joints (SI joints) for correction.

Do you know someone suffering with either one?

A nice test for Autonomic balance -
1) take your Blood pressure and your resting HR.
2) do 12 breaths in and out; the focus would be to relax the body.
3) redo the blood pressure and resting heart rate.
4) if both are the same as before or perhaps higher you are not engaging your parasympathetic (rest and digest mechanism) effectively.
If both are lower your parasympathetic is guiding your body and effecting good relaxation and healing if you use it!

A really cool posture test.
1) sit on your bum with your back against the wall and your legs straight in front.
2) ensure your bum is as close to the wall as possible and your legs are together.
3) put your arms straight above your head with your arms flush on the wall.
4) get someone to take a picture from the side and front and send it to me for my guidance specific to you.

After doing my presentation tonight; it brought a new question to mind - I was discussing how much on average a person spends on health care on a monthly basis, that includes medical aid, doctors bills, prescriptions, gym contracts, yoga classes, supplements, chiropractor visits etc...

So the question for you is - of the money you spend monthly what is your return for investment?

On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is you are completely wasting your money and 10 you get all the health you want for your spending - where are you sitting? Direct message me.

Thank you for all the new joiners; feel free to give us feedback of what you want to learn about.

Thank you for everyone who responded to the survey questions. I will compile in the next few days and give the responses.

Remember the spine has natural curves in for greater support, strength and flexibility. So when you sit for prolonged periods of time in a rounded posture...you are negatively affecting the spine. Slowly teaching your spine to be ineffective building tension.

So start today:
1) stand up and activate your spine every 30minutes of sitting
2) sit tall and active when you are sitting
3) stretch your spine every morning or evening to release any tension that has occurred.

Even when resting, your body burns calories by performing basic functions to sustain life, such as:

breathing
circulation
nutrient processing
cell production

Basal metabolic rate is the number of calories your body needs to accomplish its most basic (basal) life-sustaining functions.

For many their basal metabolic rate is so slow that they have to consume very few calories in the day and have to expend plenty to manage their weight...so perhaps it would be important to understand what enhances your basal metabolic rate?
