I was in discussion with a Chiropractic colleague of mine a few weeks ago… she mentioned that it frustrates her that people think of Chiropractic care as a luxury. This got me thinking of my vision statement: ‘We know that true health and happyness are possibilities. We see the world living in balance and all its inhabitants synchronously giving and serving each other.” This means the whole world deserves to be better off than it is now! I know that if everyone was under Chiropractic care, lived a healthy life and was exposed to the right mental focus, the quality of life world-wide would improve. Do you agree with me?

So I did the mathematics… In South Africa there are +/- 50 million people and only 500 Chiropractors – this means that I personally need to serve 100,000 people in my Chiropractic career to be doing my bit for humanity. I have my work cut out for me!

If I take it a step further, there are only 4 essential ingredients to life, without which our bodies will surely fail:

1) Food – There are nutrients that we need daily from the food we consume to sustain all body processes. Incredibly, Bhagat Singh managed to fast for 116 days in protest!

2) Water –We are made up of 70% water and cell to cell communications cannot occur without water. The aborigines have been known to last for 7 days in the outback in search of water.

3) Oxygen – The world record for an unassisted holding of breath is 11 minutes and 35 seconds. However reports say the record holder will have taken 2 months to recover because oxygen is the energy source in all cells.

4) Nerve Impulse Electricity – a person who suffers a complete spinal cord injury will die within seconds. The communication down the spinal cord between your brain and your body is the most important. This is why in a developing foetus, the spinal cord develops before any other body part and everything develops from it! Wow!

A person who mistakenly assumes that Chiropractic care is simply a profession dealing with bones and joints will see it as a luxury. But those who understand that every adjustment reconnects the accuracy of communication between the brain and the body, aiding the ability to adapt to every life challenge, will see it is a gift… If, like us, you believe that everyone deserves to be healthy and happy then spread the word… Chiropractic care is not only essential for you and your family, but everyone you know should share your secret.
