The Best You Can Be!
I was asked last week by a practice participant: “Dr Travis, when can I stop coming for my weekly adjustment?” “That’s simple,” I replied… “Once you have achieved the ‘happyness’ and good health that you deserve – once you are the ‘best you can be’, then you are done!”
The dichotomy dance that I do daily is balancing what the participant wants and expects with what I know is possible. To understand this you need to understand some important concepts:
1) The goal of chiropractic care is for the body, mind and soul to be balanced physically, chemically and emotionally.
2) My goal is for you to visit me for your regular adjustment and I find that you are completely balanced and aligned with your body working easily and effortlessly – basically I cannot find anything that needs an adjustment. In theory this sounds amazing, however I have never had anyone actually achieve their best – their full potential.
3) As a participant, your goal is to restore lost quality of life and be able to fulfil your own expectations… to do anything and everything you wish to, without your body falling short, and hope that this can be achieved.
The first two concepts are nothing short of your God-given potential – it is not my right to limit you! The third concept is where limitations may be encountered. Very often people do not know or believe what they are able to achieve – most people have never achieved anything close to their potential, so ‘acceptable’ becomes acceptable.
My ultimate priority is your success, so please rest assured that I will always guide you forward towards something better. As a team, with your commitment and my objective guidance, I ask you…
WHAT IS THE BEST YOU CAN BE?
