Marang House 2
Dear Dr T Mitchell,
26th July 2016
On behalf of the Directors, Staff and children of Marang House we would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your wonderful donation of printers which we received for our home and children. As a result of your generous support, we will be able to provide the children with an even better chance of surviving the many challenges they face on a daily basis. We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful friends.
During the school holidays one of our children Mapholi received a kidney transplant. She is recovering so well and is going from strength to strength. Most of our children were able to go home for part of their school holidays; they all returned well and excited to start school. We trust all our children had an amazing holiday.
We are always grateful to receive and even items we cannot use ourselves can be sold in our charity shop to raise much needed funds for the home.
Marang House has thirteen children in their care; ten girls and three boys. Three of the children have Chronic Renal Failure, and are still awaiting transplants, while one child received a kidney transplant in the school holidays. Of our other children, eight suffer from Diabetes and the thirteenth child in our care is a cardiac sufferer. They vary from the ages of 6 to 14 years of age and are such a lovely group of children whom all seem to have bonded well. We transport the children to and from Charlotte Maxeke Academic hospital daily for schooling and treatment.
Marang House relies totally on donations and sponsors, without this support we would not be able to provide the home and care that these children require.
Thank you for making a difference to South Africa’s chronically ill children.
Warm Regards,
Melanie
