To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

On this last weekend I was in and out of a swimming pool and had got my body very cold and then overheated. This challenged my body and my body came up lacking...Monday morning my sympathetic system (stress-fight system) got involved to deal with it.
I did not offer my body what it needed and I had a full immune response (high sympathetic response - 3) on Tuesday. Tuesday I went through what I know about to do to help my body including getting an adjustment (surprise surprise!) and look what happened...recovery on Wednesday and back in action today.

I often hear - “I want to be healthy” or “I want to be fitter”. Most people who say this have no objective measure of what it will look like if they achieved it!

So if you wish to improve yourself make sure you have an objective measure that allows you to know and not to guess. If you do not know - ask me and I will direct you!

When it is this hot; hydration most like is not good enough. Coconut water is a great electrolyte drink to help improve your water usage. Otherwise rehydrate works well!

It is a very common occurrence for people to simply deal with themselves from a pain and symptom point of view.

“As long as I do not have pain and symptoms I am healthy!”
This cannot be further from the truth.

Health is an optimal state of physical, emotional and social wellbeing (can you imagine what you would feel like waking up tomorrow morning in your optimal state?)
Health is not merely the absence of disease and symptoms.
[World Health Organization 1947]

I wish for you to have an amazing week with all the health and vitality you need to tackle all the challenges you will face...and WIN!

The goal of exercise is the condition the body.
You can only condition your body if you are in an adaptable state!
Most people, when I check their spine, are in a compensatory state.
Exercising when you are in a compensatory state will always lead to poor performance, repetitive strain injury, frustration from not achieve what you capable of and belief that less than your potential is as good as it gets.

Get in alignment; get adaptable!

The number one cause of all diseases is inflammation.
The first phase of healing is inflammation.
For most this will be confusing!

The difference is acute inflammation set the process of healing in place however if the causative agent is not removed the inflammation becomes chronic. Chronic inflammation leads to significant damage and decay of whatever part of the body it is present in.

Here is the crunch - the causative agent is often repetitive habits and actions. So for most people their own “chosen” lifestyle leads to their diseases!

Have a week of healing; choose the right habits

Got to share Chiropractic with a daycare centre in an informal settlement today. #SoCool 65 kids got their spines checked!Speaking to a patient today - we discussed her child’s asthma, sinus issues and allergies. Take note of how the immune system works: STAGE 1 - the immune systems determines the type of response it requires to the antigen. When abnormal this can either be an over response to something small (allergies, sinus issues and asthma fit here!) or a minimal response to something big. Both causes severe issues! STAGE 2 - the immune system has to engage an immune response to neutralize the infection. This is where a great fever is important. I have found many children that do not have a correct fever response and therefore immunity cannot occur. Otherwise this is where immunity is important because the immune system will neutralize all forms of the antigen before there has even been a systemic or symptomatic effect. STAGE 3 - the immune system will eliminate out the remains of the whole process. This is through one or more of the various channels of the elimination system of the body. In many cases the body either does not eliminate out correctly and this stuff sits in the system making the body toxic and acidic. Or the system stays in a perpetual state of elimination - this is the chronic runny nose, chronic cough, diarrhea etc. Do you or someone you know suffer with immune system challenges? Please chat to me for the solutions. I see it so often; the amount of tension, strain and stiffness people get used to in the body. How detrimental it is and how “normal” people feel it is. The tension in the spine massively decreases nerve communication and over time leads to decay of the spine.
