To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

I had a wonderful question today - how do you know that you are eating correctly with all the fad diets around?

My answer - the empirical evidence that occurs when you have a relationship with your body and your innate intelligence. As you consume something that is good for your body you get the positive response in terms of energy etc. I am always checking my bowel motions to determine what I ate and how my body responded.
This is live time and allows you to situationally change and adapt based on the responses!

This gets away from the one size fits all approach.

The body has an innate intelligence; a huge component to this (which I feel is sorely forgotten) is its ability to communicate with you. It does so with signs and symptoms.
These can be divided into 3 categories:
1) compliment
2) conversation
3) complaint

Most people simply recognize the complaints - pain and other serious symptoms. However forget to interact daily with all small signs, fluctuations and changes.

When Last did you have a conversation with your body?
When Last did your body compliment you for your work well done?

A simple technique for great posture is to be aware of your forward pelvic tilt. Lie on your back and tilt your pelvis forward as if you are arching your back. You will notice that your belly button and ribcage sticks out. Now try do this at the same time as holding your tummy and ribcage in. This gives you great abdominal engagement.
We can this activating your inner J-Lo. Now try sit and stand with that engagement.

When Last did you lie on the grass looking at the sky checking what structures, shapes, objects and animals you can see in the clouds.

This is a simple practice of Happyness and if done correctly will put your body and mind in an important state of Parasympathetic.

Parasympathetic is that which allows you to rest, digest, recover, recuperate and heal. You should spend 30 min every day in this state.
Do you get parasympathetic time every day?
What do you do to get your parasympathetic?

I had a patient asked me today - “Dr. T, you believe that the body can heal itself?”
“Yes” was my answer
“So then how does it do so from a chronic “incurable” condition?”

Such a great question -
The body is always trying to heal and does this process constantly and ongoing. However healing very much depends if we know the cause and how much damage.
The cause is important because if it is an ongoing cause this must be addressed and the interference cleared out 1st before the body can heal!

The amount of damage caused is critical because your body has to heal this over time. Can you afford the time?

In most chronic “incurable” conditions, medically the cause is unknown and the amount of damage difficult to predict. So it depends very much on your own work with your body! This is the premise behind natural methods...
This is a person’s journey to the centre of their own story!

Good luck

Spent a movement session with a 5 year old and her mom on Monday! We did all sorts of animal movements from her favorite animation - “the lion guard”. So much fun exploring the creative mind and the body in different unique directions.
Can you do these?
