To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

Went to a great talk on the Anat Baniel Method...has an extremely similar approach on movement and the neurological benefit as what I preach in my office.

A big question was asked - can we intentionally take advantage of the brain’s enourmous potential?

Because of neuroplasticity the answer was yes but only with the correct stimulus of movement.
Movement according this method should be:
1) with attention
2) slow
3) subtlety
4) with variation
5) with enthusiasm
6) flexible in its goals
7) able to stitch on brain learning
8) through imagination
9) with awareness

Interesting concepts!

I have found the headspace app is a great start to learning how to quieten the mind and allow it to flow. The rule is 30minutes of non-screen quiet time each day

After all this activity my abdominal muscles have been so sore...this is a great sign that no matter what exercise I was doing I was properly engaging my abdominal muscles. When you exercise do you engage your abdominal muscles throughout?
Know they are 24/7 muscles so they should be active throughout the whole day!

https://www.jozix.co.za  To do some training we went to Jozi X on Saturday. There is a obstacle course for both kids and adults. What super fun it is!   I am amazed always, even though I am physically active and strong, how different activities challenge where my limitations are. This offers a new area of focus...can I get my body to adapt to the new challenge?  When my body adapts this opens up the renewed belief that I can do more that what I gave myself credit for! Do you limit yourself?

Always a first time for everything.

I have had a few people recently fall victim to significant illness crisis! We pray for them and hope they have speedy recovery. It always makes me think -
1) we have a fragile life that can change in a heart beat
2) we often have just one chance to live the life you wish to
3) we need to start today to change proactively!

Have a great day forward

How do you find physiological relaxation? How do you know you have achieved that state?
I use a heart rate monitor every morning and it gives me a “morning readiness” score. I also use my Heart rate monitor during meditation and watch to see what fluctuations I have.
Send me a message if you wish to know more.

Breakfast - green smoothie
Lunch - vanilla smoothie (yum yum)
Dinner - home made veg pie

People have asked me if they are drinking enough water...”the 2 to 3 liters per day” may not be sufficient...on a hot day like today drinking enough water promotes great energy and cellular communication.

Drink enough water that your urine output is completely clear; there should be no smell and it should be effortless in passing.
Stay hydrated!

Just downloaded a really cool app called “moment - screen time”. Measures how much and where you spend your time on your phone. I think this is sensational for you to -1) understand how much time is spent on the phone
2) if it is functional time and really improves your quality of life.

Spoken a lot about core activation with people recently...most people do not even know how to find their core. Many believe it is simply a bunch of sit-ups.
Core activation is using your abdominal and glut muscles 24/7 to varied degrees of contraction and it must be dynamic.

A nice test of core activation is the wheel...Give it a try, do not hurt yourself and send me a picture of your attempt!
