To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

Happyness is a choice; it is a daily choice to get up every morning and do what you need to do; to push that envelope one step further...one step closer!

Happyness is a effort; it is the effort to put other emotions and thoughts behind you and do what needs to be done; to put that smile on your face and that cheer in your heart because that other person needs it!

Happyness is a discipline; it is a discipline to stick to the routine that you have set; the routine that helps you maintain your energy, maintain your positive outlook on life; maintain your desire for more.

Happyness is a journey; it is a journey of consciously learning, laughing and starting again; a journey through your humanism realizing all the flaws that you have make you strangely whole; a journey to finding the parts of you that you love and others will to.

Happyness is a gift; it is a unconditional gift from God...that once you realize this gift, accept it and hand it over you learn to serve. If you serve others on this gift you may actually taste something greater.

Happyness Practices:
- Smiling at yourself in the mirror
- Telling yourself that you are beautiful / handsome
- Dancing or singing without hesitation
- Listening to / reading something new, fresh, exciting and motivating
- Journaling out any negativity; any awarenesses that do not serve you and your cause
- Making clear and on paper exactly what you are good for; what your purpose is
- Reinforcing this through daily recognition of extraordinary human experiences
- Having goals; reviewing them daily; affirming them and your amazingness; visualizing your success
- Praying, Meditating; quietening your mind and then releasing to God!
- Believing in something great than you
- Repeat!

Breakfast - smoothie
I had the question again today - how can you just have smoothies?
For me smoothies are great nutrition; boost my mood, energy and metabolism and keeps me going the whole day!

Lunch - scrambled eggs with salmon
Had a great question about the cholesterol in eggs the other day

Here was my answer -
 Of balanced 5:2 eating plan.
Eggs are my 2 days
The cholesterol debate will continue until we understand how cholesterol is affected by individual situations stress responses

A huge part of health and Happyness is the amount of parasympathetic time you get and the activities you participate in that help you achieve that parasympathetic state...for those that do not understand - parasympathetic is the rest, digest and healing state. So if you wish for your body to regenerate from even daily insults parasympathetic time is vital.

Today I was fortunate enough to have a Thai Yoga Massage with Anju Strydom. Her words - “Thai yoga massage is like doing yoga but someone else is stretching you so you are completely passive!”
I felt like I had been gentle and therapeutically tenderized and stretched from baby toe to my ears. At the end, I was in such a deep parasympathetic state...completely relaxed! Awesome experience, my body feels more mobile and I managed to hold that state throughout the remains of the day.

So what did you do today that engaged your parasympathetic state?

Breakfast and lunch smoothies

One of my consultations of last week was a gentleman who is in a bad way on many aspects of health and Happyness and yet does not know where to start? I see this more commonly that one would want.
So this is an open request from me to you - what do you want to know and learn about regarding your health?

We have spread the word about time for “Balles Bak” - the visual is the lion lying on his back after a huge day of hunting; chilling and relaxing in the sun.
The physiological rule is
1) every day you should have 30 minutes of calm awake relaxation.
2) every week you should have a longer time
3) every 6 weeks take a long weekend off
4) every 12 weeks take a week off
5) every 24 weeks take longer than a week off...
this does not necessarily mean “going on holiday” but it does mean taking life at a different pace.
When was your last time off and when is your next?

Have a great week ahead

A simple mindset we use each week is 5 & 2. This means that 5 days per week you choose the lifestyle that works for you to achieve your best level of health and Happyness. Send me a message if you still need to work on that lifestyle.
Then 2 days per week you change it up and do something different; “break routine”! This allows the mind to stay focussed when it needs to and chill out when you allow it.
Have a chilled weekend

A great way to think about health is based on your quality of life - can you do / achieve what you want to with your body? Is it capable enough?
I look forward to your messages - where do you feel your body limits / hinders it interferes with you and your activities of daily living?
