Went for a great walk (6km) through delta park and beautiful breakfast at Delta Cafe. JHB has got some great places to be active and enjoy the outdoor life. 

What did activity did you get up this weekend?

Spoke to a participant today about quality of movement vs quantity of movement. We are often exercising more than the body is happy to move and therefore leads to injury. focusing on quality of movement allows one to stay within the bounds of what is correct. When you start small and build within the constructs of quality the body will always give you huge performance!

went to watch the Drakensberg Boys Choir on Saturday.

If you have not seen them in action it is a must.

I was impressed with how spot on they were...a Genuine world class show and they smashed it for 3 hours. It is obvious that there is huge discipline, commitment and the obvious multitude of training hours!

All of that combined into an extremely thought provoking, entertaining and life-changing experience for me!

I asked myself how disciplined, committed am I? Do I put in the hours of training to create that world class experience for the people that I interact with on a daily basis?

Needless to say...I have work to do!

I had a great chat with a few patients today about how the brain body connection works. Most of us know that the left side of the body is control by the right side of the brain and vice versa for the right.

Very few know that the front of the brain control the back of the body; this is important because great posture is not just about the consmetic benefit but rather to maximize the executive higher brain functions. So get your spine checked for your posture and brain function!
