To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

A huge help for me is to journal; it allows me to stop the round and round escalating interaction within my monkey mind.
A simple technique is to use two different colour pens and write out the conflicting thoughts in different colour pens as a debate and you then are the "Chairperson" that gets to hear the arguments and make judgement.
Send me a message if you want my aritcle on how to journal effectively.
Have a grand week.
What do you enjoy more and why - sunrise or sunset?
Tips on how to keep your mind focussed on the task at hand:
1) make certain you know the underlying purpose or intention of the task at hand
2) build value, excitement, enthusiasm for the task based on its purpose and intention
3) using affirmations to keep your mind from wandering
4) keep a pen and paper next to you so as your brain wanders you write down your thoughts and remind your brain that you will get to it
5) use the phrase "ok, where was I?" To bring your focus back
Have a great weekend.

Awareness is an important part of the healing process.
Being aware of when, where and how you challenge the body and how it responds is critical to making conscious decisions to do it differently.
Awareness initially will start after the fact; after you have done something wrong and you are in pain again.
Then awareness moves to occurring during the challenge and hopefully earlier enough for you to alter your body's responses.
Finally awareness leads to early preparation. In this case you predict difficult situations and make sure you a fully prepared to achieve the best outcome.
Be aware this week of all the areas and aspects of life that help and hurt you.
Ask the question consciously..."how can I do it differently?"
The spine's main function is the hold and support the body against gravity. When you are gravity effective, your spine (muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints and bones) are coordinated (by the brain & nerves) in such a manner that you hold your own body weight with relative ease and without pressure.
Newtonian physics states:
Force is equal to mass times acceleration...
So as you move your body; based on the speed and complexity of movement the force on your spine goes up exponentially.
This is where people struggle with spinal issues;
1) your spine is not stabilising your own body weight against gravity, so you always have high pressure on your spine REGARDLESS of posture or movement
2) you may be over weight and your spine had to constantly tolerate more weight and pressure than it was design to
3) you maybe exercising and moving your spine incorrectly and this means that your spine is taking 300-400% of your body weight in pressure (regardless of the extra weights you lifting) erroneously.
Compensation occurs:
1) muscles compress and spasm or shut down
2) tendons stretch and contract; threatening to tear
3) ligaments tighten and compress joint surfaces
4) joint surfaces cannot take constant pressure without arthritic change
5) bones eventually distort and grow extra bone to strengthen against the load.
This often occurs silently.
Suddenly the pressure touches the nerve and a contractor chronic state ensures.
Please look after your spine!
I see it a lot in winter - people who are dehydrated. Johannesburg winters are so dry that hydration, in my opinion, is as important as summer (if not more important!)
Check:
1) urine should be clear
2) no smell
3) input same volume as output
If you are drinking lots but you still struggling the consider adding coconut water or another electrolyte to your day.
Uploaded a great video to my facebook of a simple full body movement that will get your body warm and moving freely...give it a try!
Resilience is the ability of the body to withstand the challenges you face. Life is full of challenges, physical, emotional, chemical. Which means we need to be resilient to all these and more. This is based on your daily efforts. Where are you needing to be more resilient?
I always love your feedback to any posts that I make either here or on my website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.

In conversation with a patient today I spoke about the spine having 26 vertebrae which should be able to articulate smoothly in all directions.
I said some people move there spine as if it is one solid plank.
She asked "so in my spine am I moving it as one or as 26?"
I thought that was a very clever question. I said to her perhaps about 15!
She said well then we have 11 to go.
So when you flex and bend your spine in all directions... Are you able to move all 26 or do you move it as one plank?
Second half of the year has started. I hope you all managing to stay warm.
At the start of each quarter we recommend to take time and review your goals and focuses for the year...The things you wish to achieve. Review them and plan what tasks you need to get to in this quarter to keep you on track. I do this in regard to my ideals that I had planned for quarter two and what actually happened.
This allows one to be realistic but still set an optimistic path forward. Keep aware of it every week and you will achieve your greatest desires.
We are back in the office as of tomorrow and look forward to serving you and your family.
I checked in with a friend of mine on Sunday. She is having heartburn as well as joint pain and inflammation. I asked her what she eats... I recieved the usual answer "we fairly healthy".
What is your first meal of the day? To which she replied "I love coffee!"
When do you eat food? "Perhaps mid morning or lunchtime and whatever I find on the go."
She is also a good friend of red wine.
There is no wonder why she has acidity, heartburn and inflammatory pain.
She came into the office today to collect gynostemma tea. This is a wonderful product that we sell that regulates the body systemically. Bring balance back to the body. Gynostemma tea first thing in the morning prepares the digestive system for food, alkalising and repairing the digestive tract. A wonderful product that helps to regulate blood pressure, hormones and energy levels. I am excited to see her response to it; I have seen great results before.
She also mentioned that she tried smoothies before, especially for her children and unsuccessfully not very tasty. I blended her one of my favourite smoothies and she was blown away. Smoothies are a great way of getting wholesome nutrition in throughout the day.
Small changes to your diet can have a massive impact.
